2023-09-17 Tim Morrissey.
A group of us, 13 in all, played St Helens on Saturday and had a meal in the restaurant afterwards. We had a very enjoyable experience (despite the wind!) And the course was in great condition. A special word of thanks to the two hardworking ladies looking after the bar and food service. They were very busy but also very pleasant to all and a pleasure to deal with. We'll be back again next year all going well. Regards, Tim Morrissey.

We arrived at 0645 into Rosslare, drove to the course and the staff did everything in their power to find us a slot. Welcoming and friendly staff, lovely and well kept course and the last two holes have views amongst the best in the world.

Very good course, long but forgiving especially front 9, back 9 is outstanding test with 2 of the best finishing holes I’ve played, will be back.

Amazing views everywhere but especially holes 15-18.

Cannot begin to praise this golf course highly enough, staff were warm and friendly. The course itself was immaculate, excellent flower beds added colour everywhere you went and the greens were fast and true. It is one of those courses where things just got better and better as the final six holes develop from parkland golf, into traditional links golf. 17 and 18 are stunning and real card wreckers but challenging and the views are wonderful.

Simple and straightforward food
Jun 2023
My husband and I ate our meal at the bar/restaurant in the gold club; we were attended to by Caroline as well as one of her male colleagues Damien. We shared a starter of garlic mushrooms with Ali oil, we then shared a delicious omelette with salad and chips. The food is is simple, and reasonable, portions are generous and staff very attentive.

Brilliant Resort
Jul 2020
Very very good. Excellent. This place is amazing for families and or golfers. Tennis courts, playground, beautiful beach and lovely places to visits if you decide to take have a "day out" although you could just park your car and leave it for the duration with exception of having to go get groceries in Supervalu up the road. You can eat in the golf club if you wish and food is great or you can go to the 2 local pubs down in Kilrane and both serve great food. Great Pizza and chip shop in Kilrane and Chinese takeaway in Tagoat (order 45 mins before as they are always busy). St Helens is definitely the place to go with a young family or growing teens who think they should be allowed stay at home. If you are a golfer the course is in great shape and very reasonable. They allow youngsters and teenagers(supervised) to play which is great. Everyone you meet is friendly. Great stay

Just returned from a relaxing peaceful 3 week vacation at St Helen's Bay.
Jun 2019
Apart from the golf course, the surrounding area's offer nice alternatives for families, a truly beautiful beach accessed via a stairway, kiddies play ground, tennis courts, nice beach & road walks. Nearby (2/3 km) shops with all your daily needs plus the location of being in the Sunny South East, what more could one want. If tired of self catering the clubhouse provides catering options overlooking magnificent scenery.
If golf is not your thing, so what the location has so much more to offer.

Loved This Resort
Aug 2018 • Family
We recently stayed in St Helens bay for 3 weeks and loved it even though we have no interest in golf. There is a great play ground and tennis courts and plenty of green areas for the kids to play. Playground probably not great for kids under 3 years . It's a gated community so with plenty of roads in the complex that the kids could ride their bikes safely.
The beach was lovely although it had a lot of steps down to it .This wasn't a problem for us as the kids ranged in ages 4 to 13 . I loved the walk to the beach through the golf club.
I found it to be a very family friendly place and quiet at night time.
There is a great Super Valu , Chemist, Hairdressers and Cafes nearby in Rosslare Harbour. I will be returning to St Helens Bay next year.

Activities galore!
Mar 2018 • Family
My husband and I took 2 of our children (our eldest stayed in his friends house back home) on a 4 day Easter break to St. Helen's bay golf resort for the first time, from Friday through to the Monday. We usually would stay in a hotel however we decided to break tradition after hearing of this place! We spent the break in one of the lovely apartments of the bay.
The sunny South East truly lived up to its name, we were blessed with sunshine every day apart from a few showers early Monday. We lapped up the sunshine on one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen, which was only a five minute walk from our front door. The water was clean and lovely for swimming. the beach stretches for miles and the curvature creates a beautiful semi-moon walk. Also (apart from an hour or two at high tide) the beach extends for about 300 hundred yards towards the water with a very level surface, this makes it ideal for football, hurling, volleyball, or any sport really that can be played on sand.
Nestled between the beach and the magnificent golf course is the clubhouse. It is a quiet building that offers panoramic views of the bay, beach and course. The clubhouse does nice food and drink and prices are quite reasonable. Staff have a very friendly attitude and good service.
There were plenty of activities for all ages, we were less than a minutes walk from a football pitch (with permanent nets), a playground, 2 tennis courts and basketball courts. My husband and I went on a few lovely costal walks. I would highly recommend walking to Rosslare Strand. There was a family quiz on in the Clubhouse on the Friday night which not only gave us an opportunity to converse with other lovely families staying in the Bay but it ensured that our children had no trouble making friends. On the Saturday we drove out to Kilmore quay, which is a lovely harbour town very close to St. Helens and got food in the renowned chipper in the town, we were not disappointed!
The most negative experience we had was the struggle to get the children to bed Saturday night, such was their excitement at the Easter egg hunt that was taking place the following morning. Children turned out in their droves for the hunt which was very well organised and everyone had a great time.
We left Monday morning, and were a little upset about missing the family bingo which we heard was being held in the Clubhouse on the Monday night, however we are adamant that we will make it next year. Overall we had an absolutely wonderful time and we will certainly be looking to return next year!

Brilliant Relaxing Holiday
Aug 2017 • Family
We stayed in a house in St.Helens Bay in August 2017 and was a bit dubious after reading some reviews but I have to say it was one of the best holidays we had in a while. The house was spotless with views of the sea, lovely and quiet. Beautiful beach, lovely walks and clubhouse for a few drinks or food in the evening. We went sightseeing a few days but just felt so relaxed when we went back to the house. Weather was gorgeous which always helps but can’t recommend it highly enough. Going back again B/H weekend in October.
